The Notice of Race is posted, and registration is open for the 2018 J/22 World Championship hosted by Annapolis Yacht Club in Maryland from September 10-14. Annapolis Yacht Club had a devastating fire during the holiday season 2015, and this World Championship will be the first major regatta to be hosted in the new venue. Racing will run from Tuesday, September 10 through Friday, September 14. Plan on leaving Saturday, as the Friday night awards bash will be one for the books. Measurement will take place Sunday and Monday prior to racing getting started. Once you are measured in, be sure to take in the many historic sites that Annapolis has to offer, including the US Naval Academy, and the historic downtown waterfront. Keep in mind that Washington DC and Baltimore are only a 20-minute car ride away. If you are looking to get to know the venue a bit better, come early for the Annual Labor Day Regatta the weekend prior. Information for this event will be shared as the regatta date nears. You will be able to leave your boat between the events.

International teams, please contact Brad Julian (bradley.julian@gmail.com) for charter boats and logistics.

Most importantly, come ready to have a great time! AYC has a top Race Committee on hand, some awesome evening events planned, and is one of the best fall sailing venues around. For complete event details and to register, visit https://www.annapolisyc.com/racing/2018j22worlds.
